hii i got a tattoo on saturday the 21 and it is thursday the 26 and i think that my tattoo is infected. the whole tattoo isnt red but there is some spots that r red. also i was drunk when i got it so the color did not stay very well and to add on i think that my artist completely ****** it looks like my artist went way too deep on some parts while the rest of the tattoo started to peel the parts where he went tooo deep are starting to scab. is my tattoo infected and if so should i continue to put bacteracin on it or should i go to the doc. and when it heals will i be able to get it covered up

Sounds generally normal. Deeper areas will scab. Where is the tattoo? My foot took almost a month to completely heal…I work in a restaurant so I have no choice but to be on my feet, and standing on it all the time kept it from healing as quickly. Certain body parts have a harder time healing tattoos. My back, which is a huge phoenix, healed in days. But where he did color on my cherry blossoms, those scabbed very badly and took longer…its because he went over the area so many times. Unless you are in extreme pain, or if theres signs of inflamation like puss or something I wouldnt worry a ton. Keep it clean, I'd say clean it in the morning and at night, keep bacitracin on it. Your tattoo artist can answer any questions you have.
